ABOUT ME

I'm Warren Alexander Kriese, a versatile multimedia artist based in Davis, California. With a deep passion for creating in various forms, my work spans across multiple mediums, including acrylic painting, pencil drawing, alcohol markers, and digital art, such as 2D compositions and 3D modelling.

I graduated from UC Davis in March 2024, earning dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Cinema and Digital Media, and in Russian. My artistic journey has allowed me to explore the rich interplay between visual art and film, where I developed a profound appreciation for the dynamic use of light and lighting techniques. This fascination seamlessly connects my work in both physical and digital art forms.

My journey into art began at a young age, inspired by my mother and grandmother. Since then, I have been largely self-taught, though I've also completed several multimedia art courses throughout my education. I employ art as more than a passion, and it has been a predominant and powerful therapeutic tool throughout my life. I've enjoyed sharing the creative process with others, whether painting with friends, or teaching.

I have experience as a private art instructor, having taught young children using Zoom to bridge the gap during the pandemic. Currently, I am actively working on painting commissions and am open to new opportunities as a private art teacher for beginners of all ages.
